A Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon Built With Patience
When we started making wine together in 2009, Majuscule wasn’t meant to be a business. Today, our work centers on crafting Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon that reflects the character of Napa Valley’s mountain vineyards.
At least, that’s how Jeff saw it.
Greg had other ideas.
Year after year, Greg pushed to take Majuscule beyond a hobby — to formalize it, to build something lasting, and to share the wines more broadly. And year after year, Jeff resisted. For a long time, Majuscule remained a small, informal project driven more by curiosity than ambition.
Eventually, persistence won out.
In 2018, Majuscule became a licensed Napa Valley winery. A few years later, we released a wine called Résistance, a Mount Veeder Cabernet-based blend that marked that early chapter and Jeff’s long reluctance to take the next step.
With our 2026 Spring Release, it feels only fitting to introduce the next chapter: Persistence.
Introducing Persistence Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2022 Persistence Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is rooted in the same philosophy that has guided Majuscule from the beginning — thoughtful farming, small-lot production, and a focus on balance and site expression.
Sourced from Mount Veeder, this wine reflects the character of the mountain: structure, depth, and intensity shaped by steep slopes and volcanic soils. At the same time, it carries the polish and approachability that have become hallmarks of Greg’s winemaking style. Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with small additions of Cab Franc and Merlot, the inaugural 2022 vintage offers a seamless profile built on dark fruit layered with subtle oak and a quiet mineral edge.
Fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity give the wine lift and energy, carrying through a long, composed finish that reflects its mountain origins. Structured yet inviting, Persistence balances freshness and depth while remaining unmistakably site-driven.
Persistence is more than a name. It reflects the steady, ongoing work behind our 600-case winery — vintage by vintage, barrel by barrel — and the belief that great wines are built over time.
The Return of Our Sparkling Rosé
Joining Persistence in this release is the 2022 Sonoma Coast Blanc de Noir Sparkling Rosé, our third vintage of a small-production wine crafted from Pinot Noir using the traditional méthode champenoise.
We began making this sparkling wine simply because we wanted something fresh and vibrant to open with friends and family and pour at events and tastings before our red wines. The grapes are sourced from Sonoma’s cool coastal climate, providing the natural acidity and brightness that make this style so enjoyable.
Each vintage has reinforced why we continue to make it. Vibrant with bright fruit, fine bubbles, and beautiful lift, it delivers a lively palate supported by crisp acidity and a smooth, velvety finish. — equally at home at the start of an evening, alongside a meal, or during a warm afternoon with friends.
A Small Production, By Design
As always, production at Majuscule remains intentionally small. These wines are made in limited quantities, with a focus on quality and expression of their vineyards rather than scale.
That approach requires patience, but it also allows us to stay closely connected to every step of the process — from vineyard to bottle.

Thank You
Small wineries are built slowly, and always with the support of people who believe in what we’re doing. We’re grateful to everyone who continues to follow along and support our wines.
